What gets timestamped

The times Snowmass records automatically on incidents and material logs — and why they matter.

Incidents & materials Updated 2026-08-09

Every record carries its own clock

You never type a time in by hand. Snowmass stamps each field record as it happens, so the sequence of events is always defensible.

On an incident

  • Reported at — the moment the operator files it.
  • Dispatcher notified at — when the real-time alert reached the dispatcher.
  • Resolved at — when a dispatcher closes it out.

On a material log

  • Applied at — captured when you log the material on arrival at the stop.

These sit alongside the service visit's own arrival and completion times, so a property's history reads as a clean timeline.

Why the timestamps matter

  • Proof of service — you can show exactly when a property was treated and with what.
  • Accountability — the gap between "reported" and "resolved" tells you how quickly incidents get handled.
  • Reporting — these fields are filterable in reports, so you can answer "what did we apply, where, and when" for any storm.
