Setting up payment

Add a card securely through Stripe Checkout so Snowmass can invoice your organization.

Billing & account Updated 2026-08-09

Add a payment method

Snowmass bills through Stripe, a leading payment processor. To start being invoiced, an admin adds a card via Stripe Checkout from your billing settings. Snowmass never sees or stores your card number — it goes straight to Stripe, and Snowmass only keeps a secure reference to the saved payment method.

Steps

  1. In billing settings, choose to add or update your payment method.
  2. You're taken to a secure Stripe Checkout page.
  3. Enter your card details and confirm.
  4. You're returned to Snowmass, now set up to be invoiced.

A saved card is required to run

Snowmass only invoices an organization once a payment method is on file, and dispatch stays locked until a card is saved. Add your card during setup — it's one of the first things the getting-started checklist asks for — so you're ready well before your first storm. You're never charged for a storm you haven't run; the card simply lets invoicing proceed when the month closes.

Billing status

Your organization moves through a few states: active once a card is on file and invoices are current, and past-due if a payment ever fails, until the card is updated. Keep your card current to avoid a past-due interruption to dispatch; you can update it anytime from billing settings.

Who can do this

Only the admin role can add or change the payment method or view billing. Dispatchers, operators, and other roles don't see billing at all.

Security

Because payment is handled entirely by Stripe, your card data never touches Snowmass's servers. This is the same processor trusted by a large share of online businesses.
