Season window

What the season window is

The season window tells Snowmass the calendar span your operation actually plows — for a typical Canadian fleet, roughly late autumn through early spring. You set it as a start month and day and an end month and day.

• Month values run 1 to 12, day values 1 to 31.
• A window like November 1 to April 15 describes a normal winter season that crosses the New Year.

Why it matters

The season window frames the operating period your organization is in-season for. Keeping it accurate means your out-of-season months aren't treated as active operating time — useful for how the app frames reporting and activity, and for keeping off-season noise out of your operational views.

Setting it

All four values (start month, start day, end month, end day) are optional and are validated independently — but set them as a matched pair of dates so the window makes sense. Enter the real first and last dates you expect to be dispatching. You can adjust it any time; there's no harm in nudging the boundaries as your season starts early or runs late.

Related, but separate

The season window is about the calendar. It doesn't change dispatch behaviour during a storm — that's governed by the swarm-direction, route-order, and claim-timing settings. Think of the season window as the outer frame around all of them.
