Organization settings overview

Where your fleet-wide preferences live and who can change them.

Settings Updated 2026-08-09

What lives in settings

Your organization settings are the fleet-wide preferences that shape every storm. They fall into a few groups:

  • Display — language, distance unit, time zone, and the colour used to draw property boundaries on the map.
  • Dispatch behaviour — default swarm direction, route-order strength, claim timing, and the geofence arrival radius. These control how the swarm assigns and completes work.
  • Operations — the plow-ridge recheck tunables and your season window.
  • Customer alerts — quiet hours and alert lead time.
  • People — roles (RBAC) and per-location operator access.

Who can change them

Only members with the admin role can edit organization settings. Dispatchers, operators, and other roles can see the results of these settings during a storm but can't change them.

A note on how changes take effect

Most settings apply to the next decision the swarm makes, not retroactively to claims already in flight. Changing dispatch behaviour mid-storm is safe — it simply shapes what happens from that point forward. A short cache (a few minutes) means an edit may take a moment to be reflected everywhere.

Where to go next

Each setting has its own article in this section explaining exactly what it does and how to choose a value. Start with the ones that affect a live storm — default swarm direction, route-order strength, and the claim timing tunables.
