Route-order strength (loose / balanced / strict)
How firmly the swarm follows a preferred ordering versus taking the best opportunity.
What it controls
Route-order strength decides how much weight the swarm gives to following a preferred order of stops versus simply grabbing the best-value opportunity in front of a tractor right now. It's the dial between "keep it tidy and predictable" and "keep it fast." You choose one of three levels:
Loose
The swarm is maximally opportunistic. Each tractor takes its highest-value nearby stop with little regard for a prescribed order. Usually the fastest raw coverage, but the order stops get cleared is the least predictable.
Balanced
The default. The swarm respects a sensible ordering while still adapting to the storm — it won't drive past an obvious nearby stop to honour the order, but it won't jump all over the map either. Best of both for most fleets.
Strict
The swarm follows the preferred ordering closely, accepting some extra driving to keep coverage orderly and predictable. Choose this when the sequence matters — for contractual reasons, priority tiers, or customers who expect to be served in a consistent order storm to storm.
Choosing
Start on balanced. Move to loose if raw speed of coverage is all that matters and nobody cares about order. Move to strict if predictability or priority sequencing is worth a bit of extra drive time. You can change it between storms as you learn what your customers value.
Under the hood
The three levels map to a single strength weight the dispatcher reads directly. The UI snaps whatever value is stored to the nearest of the three labels, so the control always shows a clean, exact selection.
