Plow-ridge recheck tunables
How long to wait before re-queuing a property the road plow re-buried, and when to give up.
The problem this solves
A crew clears a driveway entrance, then the municipal road plow comes by and pushes a ridge of snow right back across it. When an operator marks a stop cleared with issues, Snowmass holds a recheck: after a cooldown it re-queues the property so the swarm sends a tractor back. Three tunables control that loop.
Cooldown
Recheck cooldown (minutes) is how long Snowmass waits after the flagged completion before the property becomes eligible for re-dispatch. The default is around 45 minutes — long enough that the road plow has likely made its pass, short enough that the ridge isn't left all storm. Must be greater than zero.
Max attempts
Recheck max attempts caps how many times a single property will be re-queued for the same re-burial before Snowmass stops automatically re-sending. This prevents a pathological property from consuming the fleet on a heavy plow night. Must be greater than zero.
Deadline
Recheck deadline (hours) is a hard cutoff: once this many hours have passed since the original completion, no further rechecks spawn even if attempts remain. It keeps stale rechecks from firing long after the storm has wound down. Must be greater than zero.
Choosing values
Match the cooldown to how quickly your municipality plows the roads after a storm — if their vehicles come through fast, a shorter cooldown gets your entrances re-cleared sooner. Raise max attempts and the deadline for long, multi-wave storms; lower them for quick clippers where one pass usually settles it.
Note
The trigger is always the operator flagging the issue. The re-dispatch is what Snowmass automates — it does not detect re-burial on its own.
