Per-contact notification channels

Give each contact the right mix of email and SMS, in the right language.

One property, many contacts

A single property can have several contacts — a property manager, an after-hours number, a billing contact. Each is configured independently, so the right person gets the right message on the channel they prefer.

What you can set per contact

  • Channels — email, SMS, or both.
  • Language — English or Quebec French. The message is composed in that language, so a francophone contact receives a courriel en français.
  • Consent — tracked per channel; an unverified channel is never used.

A practical setup

A common arrangement on a residential property:

  • Property manager — email + SMS, all four alert types.
  • After-hours contact — SMS only, en-route and service-complete.
  • Billing contact — email only, event-status.

This keeps each person informed without over-messaging anyone.

How it interacts with quiet hours and opt-out

Per-contact channels decide who could be reached and how. Quiet hours decide when, and opt-out / STOP can override the channel entirely. The order is: a channel must be chosen and verified, the moment must fall outside quiet hours, and the contact must not have opted out. Only then does the message go.

Review these settings when you onboard a new property so the first storm reaches exactly the people it should.
