Common operator questions

How do I get my first stop?

You don't pick it. Join the run and choose your vehicle; your first GPS ping bootstraps your first claim and the swarm hands you the best next property. Just keep the app open.

How do I take a break without causing problems?

Pause your run. Your current stop is released so another machine can grab it, but your slot is reserved. Resume when you're back and the next ping earns your next stop. Don't just go silent — that looks like a breakdown.

My battery is about to die. What do I do?

Open your run on another charged device. It takes control automatically and your old device goes read-only — newest device wins. Nothing is lost.

The entrance got re-buried right after I cleared it. How do I flag it?

Mark the stop "cleared with issues." Snowmass holds a recheck and, after a short cooldown, re-queues the property so the swarm sends someone back. You don't have to chase the dispatcher.

How do I know where to go next?

You don't have to figure it out — turn-by-turn navigation loads the property the swarm assigned you and routes you there on real roads. Finish a stop and it reorients to the next one.

How do I end my shift?

Leave the run. Anything you were still holding heals back into the swarm and the fleet covers it — you don't have to hand anything off.

What happens if I lose signal?

Your device keeps buffering your position and syncs on reconnect. You keep logging where you are; you just can't claim a new stop until you're back online.
