Hold a stop for the machine you want

The swarm is smart, but you're the dispatcher. When a property needs a specific machine, or you know one is heading that way anyway, you can reserve a pending stop for a specific vehicle — and the swarm respects your choice.

How it works

Pick the pending stop, choose the vehicle, and reserve it. From that point the stop is held for that machine: the scoring engine won't hand it to anyone else. By default it's still scored normally for its machine, so the operator picks it up when it's genuinely their best next property — no wasteful detour across town. When timing matters, tick Next and the stop jumps to the front of that machine's queue, so they claim it before anything else. Either way you're not fighting the algorithm — you're giving it an instruction it treats as fixed.

When to use it

• A property owner calls and their lot needs a specific machine — tick Next if it has to be cleared right away.
• You want a specific operator on a tricky or sensitive property.
• You're rebalancing by hand because you can see something the map can't tell the engine.

What it doesn't break

Reserving one stop doesn't take the rest of the fleet off autopilot. Every other machine keeps claiming its own best next property through the swarm. You're overriding a single decision, not switching the whole storm to manual.

Why it matters

Dynamic dispatch handles the 95% you'd never want to think about. Reserve is the pressure valve for the 5% where human judgment or a customer promise has to win — without giving up automation everywhere else.
