Archiving a property

Retire a property you no longer service without erasing its history.

Archive, don't delete

When you lose a contract or a property closes, archive the property rather than deleting it. Archiving takes it out of new passes and day-to-day lists while keeping every service visit, photo, and material log intact — the record you may need for billing disputes, insurance, or winning the account back.

Archive a property

  1. Open the property.
  2. Choose Archive.
  3. Confirm. The property drops out of pass-building and active views immediately.

An archived property won't be picked up by the swarm and won't send its contacts any updates. Its past storms and visits stay fully readable.

Bringing one back

Signed the client again? Restore the property from your archived list and it returns with its boundary, contacts, and job intact — no need to rebuild it from scratch.

When deleting is the right call

Delete only a property created in error — a duplicate row, a test property with no real history. Anything that's ever been part of a real storm should be archived so the evidence survives. If you're unsure, archive: it's reversible, and deletion of a property with history isn't.
