Field logging: what your crews capture on the ground
Two things operators record from a run — incidents and material applied — and where that record lives.

What field logging is
While a run is under way, operators capture two kinds of record from their device without leaving the swarm:
- Incidents — property or vehicle damage, a near miss, an injury, or anything else worth a paper trail — with photos, sent to the dispatcher in real time.
- Material applied — how much salt, brine, sand, or other product went down at a given stop.
Both are tied to the exact stop and the exact run they came from, so nothing is a loose note that has to be reconciled later.
Why it matters
- Proof of service — a defensible, timestamped record of what was done at each property, complete with the material laid and any photos.
- Faster response — an incident reaches the dispatcher the moment it's filed, not at the end of the shift.
- Clean billing and reports — material logs and visit history flow straight into your reports and the customer portal.
Where to go next
- Report an incident with photos from a run.
- Log material applied at a stop.
- Review and resolve incidents as a dispatcher.
