Tenant simulations vs the public sales demo
Two things that look similar but aren't: your private planning tool and the org-less demo Snowmass staff show prospects.
Simulations

They look alike — they aren't
Both play a storm on a map, but they serve different people and live in different places. It's worth knowing which one you're in.
Your tenant simulation (the one this guide is about)
- Who — your managers and customers, inside your organization.
- Scope — it belongs to your org. It's built from your real properties, your service plans, and your real depots.
- Purpose — planning: sizing your fleet and equipment for real storms.
- Access — it lives on your tenant workspace and is protected by your organization's permissions. No one outside your org can see it.
This is the marketable, customer-facing planning tool.
The public sales demo
- Who — Snowmass staff, showing prospects what the product does.
- Scope — it's org-less — deliberately not tied to any customer's data. It's authored by staff and opened through a shareable demo link.
- Purpose — sales and illustration, not planning your operation.
Why the separation matters
Keeping them apart protects your data: a sales demo shown to a prospect never touches a real organization, and your tenant simulations — built on your actual properties and depots — never leak outside your org. If you're planning your own storms, you want the tenant simulation.
