Run a simulation and replay with the scrubber

Run the scenario, watch the fleet cover the map frame by frame, and drag the scrubber to any moment.

Running it

Once your properties, service plan, depot, and vehicle parameters are set, press Run. Snowmass executes the scenario through the dispatch engine in the background, recording a keyframe at every step — a snapshot of where each machine is and the status of every stop.

While it runs, a progress view shows how far along it is: a bar and an "X of N stops" count, bucketed into done, in progress, and pending.

Replaying with the scrubber

When the run finishes, you replay it:

  • Drag the scrubber back and forth to jump to any moment in the storm.
  • Step frame by frame to watch the fleet fan out from the depot and sweep dense blocks before moving on.
  • See stops flip from pending to in-progress to done as machines claim and clear them.

Reading the outcome

Replay answers the questions a spreadsheet can't: where did the fleet pile up, which properties were reached last, and how long did full coverage take. A summary of the run's stats sits alongside the replay so you can compare one run against another.

If a run stalls

Runs are recorded server-side. If a worker is ever interrupted mid-run, Snowmass detects the stale run and frees the scenario so you can simply run it again.
