What a Storm Reel is

A Storm Reel is the public face of a Rewind: a stylized, animated replay of the storm being cleared, made to be shared. Anyone with the link can watch it — play, scrub, and download a video clip to post wherever you like. The reel carries a snowmass.io watermark.

Creating one

From a completed storm's Rewind page, an admin uses the "Share as a Storm Reel" panel to mint a public link. The link is unguessable, and you can revoke it at any time — the reel goes dark immediately.

Anonymize — on by default

The Anonymize toggle (checked by default, and recommended) strips everything that could identify anyone: your company name, customer names, addresses — and even the real map coordinates, which are recentered so the page carries no location that ties a pin back to a customer's driveway. The animation stays faithful; only the identifying details are gone.

Squeaky Stops

Every storm has stops that fought back — ones that needed a second pass, were reassigned mid-storm, or ran much slower than their peers. Inside the Rewind you see them with their addresses and reasons, most stubborn first. On the public reel they appear only as anonymized counts — proof of a hard-fought storm, with no addresses attached.
