FAQ: Can I override the swarm and assign a property myself?

Short answer

Yes. The swarm is the default, not a cage. A dispatcher keeps full manual control when they need it.

Reserve a specific property

From the ops view, a dispatcher can reserve a pending property for a specific tractor. The engine treats that as a fixed decision and optimizes everything else around it — the rest of the fleet keeps scoring and claiming normally, and simply routes around the property you've reserved. By default the reserved property is still scored normally for its tractor, so it's claimed when it's genuinely that tractor's best next stop; tick Next to push it to the front of that tractor's queue when it has to be done right away.

Use it when local knowledge beats the score: a key account that must be done by a particular operator, a property with access only one crew knows, or a VIP you want cleared next regardless of proximity.

Reopen a finished property

A dispatcher can also reopen a completed or skipped property without losing any of its evidence — the photos, materials, and timestamps already logged stay intact. The reopened property flows back into the swarm to be claimed again.

What you don't have to do

You never have to pre-build routes, and you never have to babysit the fleet stop by stop. Reserve is an exception tool for the handful of properties where you know better than the score — the other hundreds run themselves.
