Using Snowmass in English or French
The whole interface is available in English and Quebec French.
Built bilingual
Snowmass is fully bilingual — English and Quebec French (fr-CA). This isn't a machine-translated afterthought bolted on for one screen; the interface, the operator tablet, and the customer-facing messages are all available in both languages.
Where language shows up
- The operator tablet — buttons, stop lists, and prompts in the operator's language.
- The customer portal — customers read their dashboard and history in their own language.
- Notifications — each contact's alerts are composed in their chosen language, so a francophone customer gets a courriel en français and an anglophone gets English. (See the notifications guides for per-contact language.)
Choosing your language
Language follows the user and the contact, so the right person sees the right language without anyone doing translation by hand:
- operators and staff see the app in their account's language,
- customers receive messages in the language set on their contact record.
Why it matters in Quebec
Serving a Quebec fleet means real French, not a rough gloss — courriel, not "email"; clavardage for chat. A crew shouldn't have to work around English-only tooling in the cab, and customers shouldn't get storm updates in a language they don't read. Both sides of Snowmass respect that from the start.
If a screen or message appears in the wrong language, check the account's or contact's language setting — that's what drives it.
